Unlike any other show in the world, you’ll be in the room with the everyday people who were there at the height of disco. You can be a bystander and watch their stories unfold. Or you can lose yourself in the music, and maybe even find yourself.
DiscoShow starts with a heartbeat. While New York faced its toughest times, and President Ford told the city to ‘drop dead’, an entire generation answered, ‘let’s dance’. David Mancuso’s legendary loft parties had begun at 99 Prince Street. New sounds emerged. No judgement. No inhibitions. The DJ stood at the altar, and salvation was found on the dance floor. Disco was born.
In addition to the show and numerous cocktail lounges, partygoers can fuel up before or after at Diner Ross where New York diner classics are flipped into disco-bistro-chic. Arrive early or stay late. Enjoy a delicious cocktail, or two. Good Times.
